ObamaNation- noun. Something horrible; a country where its leaders steal from the rich to fund their expansion of big government. Something shameful; an immoral and unjust taxation on the pursuit of happiness and success one can achieve. Intense dislike; disapproval of a leader that even members of his cabinet are backing out on him.
It’s intolerable the ignorance that resides in the White House. I’m almost afraid to achieve my American dream because President Obama will tax the heck out of it and all my hard work will afford me nothing but the leftovers. He and his big government trying to even the plane scare the ambition right out of me. Even the plane? It’s not my job or the job of any American to work and pay for everyone else. If we could find where we fit in this country and work toward our own good without the government seizing our a$$ets then it’s up to us how successful we are. It’s about personal responsibility not government capacity. Obama is trying to pass himself off as a modern day Robin Hood, stealing from the rich and giving to the needy, after he takes his cut, of course. But what we need to understand is that Robin Hood was not a patron saint of justice, or taxes for that matter, Robin Hood was a thief.
Obama is encouraging the masses to be mediocre since he put his price limit on the American dream. Taxing success is not how the President needs to go about stimulating our economy. If he didn’t have a teleprompter, this is how his speeches would go:
Don’t reach your full potential because if you make over$500,000 a year, I’m going to take it from you and smear it across the country to pay for the stimulus package I gave to reward those who decided it was okay to live beyond their means and caused this crisis.
I like to think that when I get richer I get to keep it. Nobody deserves my money better than me. Otherwise, it doesn’t pay to get paid. So we all might as well quit our jobs, if we still have one, and collect unemployment. Let’s just jump on Obama’s wagon and mooch off the government and depend on the government to give us a good life. I’m sure Obama would give my children the same opportunities he gives his. Right?
Ugh! Just writing that seems sacrilegious. It is my responsibility alone to make sure my children have education and opportunities not the government’s, especially not Barack Hussein Obama’s. And it is my responsibility to be successful and if I’m not then it’s not the government’s fault (unless the reason for my unsuccess is of course because I cannot keep my own paycheck because I am paying for someone else’s health care). People are just so gosh darn deserving: I want a big house, new cars in the driveway, new funiture even though I can’t afford it and I can claim bankruptcy if it doesn’t work out. The American Dream has been skewed in the minds of our countrymen and women from work hard to reach your goals to put your goals on your credit cards and work hard later. Scarlette O’Hara Syndrome if you will.
Just for the record, bankruptcy is a fancy term for ripping the country a new one because the responsibility for crap you couldn’t pay for is put on your neighbor’s shoulders; it makes stealing legal. When you go shopping and take something without paying for it it’s called stealing. When you take that same something home after signing a promise with your credit card to pay in the near future and default on that promise that is the same as stealing- you are a pirate. Don’t feel bad though, Obama Hood is a pirate, too.
Here’s what it boils down to, we didn’t buy that big house because we couldn’t afford it. We have never missed a house payment; we own our cars and know our limits. Yet those who weren’t careful about their money are the ones who are getting bailed out. Ironic isn’t it? Rewarding bad behavior, that is what the President’s little policy is doing. Throwing money we don’t really have at a ravaging economy broken down by beaurocratic spendthrifts just like him and idiots like Bill Clinton for outsourcing our factories and jobs that we so desperately need here.
In the meantime, the economy will stabilize on its own and Obama will take the credit for it. America will have to learn that it can’t have what it wants when it wants unless she has the money to back it up. Obama needs to lead by example; we don’t need Obama to be a spendthrift! We need a president who is a save-thrifty person to create first and foremost, an American emergency fund so, for example, if something were to happen, say a bank needs some back up, the President doesn’t have to write a bill (to go through Congress to scrape up a butt load of money to throw around like a ticker tape parade) but instead he can write a receipt.
Heck, I’m just a country girl, wife and mother to six children with a great education and no debt except our house. I may not be a genius but I know I’m not a drain on my country and its people.
I bet Ol’Bama wishes he could say the same. If he did he would realize that this mess we’re in right now is an Obamanation!
